## Installation

Setup FileBird (or File Bird) is easy and takes less than one minute.

 1. Download the plugin from wordpress.org, unpack it, and upload the **[FileBird]**
    folder to your **wp-content/plugins/** directory.

### Do all of my previously uploaded files remain the same after I first install this plugin?

Yes, you can find all uploads in the **All Files** folder.

### When I move an image to another folder, does this action affect how the image appears on the page/post?

No, it makes no changes to your images on the site’s front end.

### If I create a folder or category, does this override the default WordPress path `wp-content/uploads/`?

No, it does not. The plugin helps organize files into folders visually. Every file
permalink/URL remains unchanged.

### What happens to my site if I uninstall FileBird?

No worries, your website will be completely unaffected. Upon deactivation, all your

There’s more to this plugin than just the folders for media library inside wp-admin
you see at first glance. It can quite easily be extended for many use cases. Best
of all, most of the cool things that allow you to build advanced sites are in the
free version. Things like REST API, ACF integration and helper functions that provide
a good starting point for anyone with a bit of programming knowledge to create great
editor user experiences. It follows the “decisions, not options” philosophy.
